County band presents annual seasonal concert

Forty all-volunteer area musicians will be in the annual Nevada County Concert Band's holiday concert Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Grass Valley. Cheryl Baker conducts.

Traditional Christmas repertoire will include " O' Tannenbaum," " Deck the Halls," " I Wonder as I Wander," "Winter Wonderland," " Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" and "Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas."

Soloists include Greg Goodknight on trumpet in "Toy Trumpet" and Matt Lawson on French horn in "I Wonder as I Wander."

Sunday's free concert begins at 2:30 p.m. Donations are accepted for the nonprofit band. The First Baptist Church is at 1866 Ridge Road. Call 477-4787 or check www.nccb.org on the Web for more information.
